Gluten Free Fall Sweets You Need to Try

I love the different seasons and all of the different, amazing food that comes along with each season. I think fall is my favorite season when it comes to sweets. So many of my favorite foods and sweets are reintroduced in the fall season and stick around throughout winter.

With celiac disease, sometimes fall and winter can be dreadful because of all of the floury desserts that a lot of people enjoy during the holidays. Here are a few gluten-free fall sweets you need to try. Some of these are seasonal, while others are available year-round, and great for festivities!

Gluten-Free Cinnamon Crumb Cake

Okay, I had to start with the Krusteaz Gluten-free Cinnamon Crumb Cake. It is my absolute favorite treat, and so easy to make. It is a great dessert or a wonderful breakfast cake to have with your morning coffee. It is always a hit when my family takes it to parties and every time we make it I ask myself why we didn’t make more. I am always able to find it at Walmart in the dessert section.

BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse Gluten-free Pizookie Cookie

BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse has a warm gluten-free chocolate chip pizookie that is perfectly baked. The edges are crisped to perfection with a soft center. Get a scoop of vanilla ice cream to top it off.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice

This wouldn’t be a fall gluten-free food guide without mentioning Starbucks Pumpkin Spice. If you are judging, you either haven’t tried it yet or are not a fan of pumpkin. There are so many different ways to order a Starbucks drink with pumpkin spice, and you can order it the way you want it. Here is how I order my favorite pumpkin spice coffee at Starbucks:

-Grande cold brew

-1 pump pumpkin

-3 pumps SF Vanilla

-Splash of sweet cream

-Extra pump spice powder

This is normally on the sweeter side. Adjust accordingly to preference and the size of the drink. I saw The Macro Barista post this order. Browse his website for more coffee order ideas, but be sure to check if the ingredients are gluten-free prior to ordering.

Glutino Gluten-free Pretzel Sticks

There are many decorative, festive Halloween treats that require pretzel sticks. Don’t miss out on all of the cute treats, and get Glutino’s Gluten Free Pretzel Sticks for cute Halloween treats. Synder’s also has gluten free pretzels.

Krusteaz Gluten-free Honey Cornbread

As winter approaches, homemade chili is a must. Typically, chili is gluten-free and there are plenty of delicious gluten-free chili recipes online. What makes chili even better is adding a side of gluten free cornbread by Krusteaz. It is so yummy and a great side for your warm chili on a cold evening.

Schar Honeygrams

Honeygrams, or graham crackers, are great throughout any season of the year. They are especially great for fall when the weather begins to cool down and you can finally enjoy a nice bonfire. Enjoy a bonfire under the stars, roast marshmallows, and make S’mores with Schar Honeygrams.

Ibarra Chocolate Genuine Mexican Hot Cocoa

Mexican hot cocoa is a must over the holidays. After I struggled with stomachaches from Mexican hot cocoa, I found the gluten free Ibarra Mexican Hot Cocoa that is delicious and doesn’t leave me with a stomachache.

Gluten-free Wafers

Wafers are great with hot chocolate, and hot coffee. Make your favorite warm beverage, grab some wafers and take a ride around the city to enjoy the holiday decorations and lights. Take this small snack with you while taking the kids trick-or-treating. Or, drive up to the snow if possible. Prepare hot cocoa or coffee and enjoy your hot beverage with wafers in the snow.

Here are wafers that are gluten free:

  • Kinnikinnick Vanilla Wafer
  • Gluten Free Wafers
  • Schar Gluten Free Wafers

Enjoy Life Snickerdoodle Cookie

Enjoy Life offers many different sweets, treats, and snacks free from 14 allergens. Their products are high quality and full of flavor. My personal favorite is their snickerdoodle cookie. The perfect soft-baked dessert for a cold night in. They also have a holiday apple cider soft-baked cookie and a Ginger Bread Spice Soft-baked cookie.

Rice Pudding

Rice pudding is a great fall or holiday dessert. It is hard to pass up, with creamy sweet rice and fresh cinnamon sticks. You can either make rice pudding at home or purchase gluten-free store-bought rice pudding.

Macarons

Macarons are normally naturally gluten-free and come in many different flavors. They are perfect if you have a sweet tooth and would like a small dessert. There are many different flavors that are seasonal and holiday based.

Peanut Brittle

Peanut brittle can be a great holiday gift that many people can’t say no to. I checked with See’s Candies and they said their peanut brittle is gluten free, however, it is best to do your own research and eat at your own risk.

On the other hand, you can make your own gluten free peanut brittle.

Apple Cider

Hot apple cider is a fall drink most love to enjoy as the leaves change. Make your own gluten free, sweet apple cider and enjoy a fall night with a chilly breeze.

Candied Pecans

Candied pecans are a yummy, sweet snack, great on homemade gluten free pies, and delicious on salad. Purchase candied pecans, or make your own festive cinnamon candied pecans.

Gluten free Pie

Fortunately, there is gluten free pie we can still enjoy throughout the holidays. Whole Foods has gluten free pies to choose from, such as:

  • Gluten free Pumpkin Pie
  • Strawberry Rhubarb Pie
  • Dutch Apple Pie

Don’t miss out on delicious fall and holiday sweets. Get festive, experiment with new recipes, and enjoy yummy food on the lovely holidays.
